By submitting this form, you agree to the following terms and conditions for membership:

* I undertake to comply with the Blanco Neighbourhood Watch’s (BNW) Constitution, code of conduct, rules, and policies as determined by the BNW and/or its Executive Committee from time to time, which may be obtained from the BNW at a member’s request.

* I give permission to the BNW patrollers to enter my premises in the event of an emergency, and in the event of suspicious activity on my property.

* I consent to be added as a participant on the BNW’s closed community Whatsapp group(s), and I irrevocably agree to keep all information (including text, photographs, and/or opinions) published thereon strictly confidential. I irrevocably agree that I will not share or disseminate any information (including text, photographs, and/or opinions) posted on the BNW’s closed groups to any other person, without the express, prior, written consent of the BNW Executive Committee.

* I irrevocably undertake and agree that it is a material term of membership of the BNW, that I will lay criminal charges against persons contravening or transgressing against me or other members of the Blanco community, where I am a suitable complainant in terms of the Laws of the Republic of South Africa, and that I will attend to lodge such criminal complaint without undue delay at the request of a member of the BNW Executive Committee.

* I acknowledge that the BNW is a voluntary association of members and not a legal person, functioning within the legal framework for neighbourhood watches in terms of Provincial Legislation, and that membership is (in addition to the aforesaid legislation) subject to the provisions of the BNW’s Constitution, rules, policies, and code of conduct. I further acknowledge that members and patrollers are responsible and liable for their own acts as private citizens when participating in BNW activities or structures.
I hereby indemnify and hold harmless the BNW from any and all claims arising from my acts and omissions, and arising from my voluntary involvement with the BNW.

* I agree and undertake that:
(a) I will not act in a partisan or discriminatory manner;
(b) I will not divulge any confidential or privileged information I will acquire from time to time as a result of my membership of the BNW;
(c) I will protect personal information that I acquire as a result of my membership of the BNW, within the confines of the Laws of the Republic of South Africa; and
(d) I will strive to work in partnership with other residents, the BNW, the CPF, and SAPS to advance the Blanco community’s safety, and in support of crime prevention in the Blanco area.
